Required trainings for all UC employees share resources and policies that the University has established to support ethical conduct. They also provide an opportunity to think through how you might respond to challenging situations. In some cases, additional required training will focus on safety or legal aspects of an activity you will regularly be performing as part of your job, such as accessing student records, or processing credit card payments.
If you are a new UC San Diego employee, these trainings will orient you to our obligations as a public university engaged in education, research, and public service. For continuing employees, ongoing training is an important way to ensure you stay current on policies, practices, and information that is foundational to our mission as a university and the functions you perform in your role.

Additional training might be required depending on your position and responsibilities. You might be notified of additional training requirements through an email from the UC Learning system, or directly from your supervisor.

To view required training status for all of your direct reports as a group, run the Required Training Status Report for Supervisors. To view training status for all employees in a department or other type of unit, run the Required Assignment Training Status report.
